When you need to sign a PDF
Printing a PDF, signing it and scanning it again takes time. With this tool you can sign a PDF directly on your phone or computer.
- Sign and return application, consent or agreement forms
- Add your signature to documents from overseas partners
- Sign the approval field on quotes and purchase orders
- Add a sign-off to internal requests and reports
Two ways to create your signature
Draw it
Sign inside the box with your finger, a mouse or a stylus. Choose black or blue ink and the pen width. If it doesn’t look right, tap “Clear” and try again as many times as you like.
Use a photo
Photograph your signature written in pen on white paper, then choose the photo. The paper becomes transparent automatically, leaving just your signature. For the best result, take the photo in good light without shadows.
Any position, any size
Just tap the signature field on the PDF to place it. Drag it to adjust the position, and choose a width from 20mm to 80mm. You can add it to several pages or places.
Note: this isn’t a digital signature
The signature added here is an image of your handwritten signature. It’s different from a digital signature, which uses a certificate to prove who signed and that the document hasn’t been changed.
For contracts and other documents that need legal proof, use an electronic signature service or follow the recipient’s instructions. Check your company’s rules on whether signature images are accepted internally.

For Japanese documents that need a seal, use the Digital Hanko Stamp maker; to fill in your name or the date, use Add Text to PDF. You can also add a password before sending the signed PDF.
Your signature and PDF are never uploaded
Creating the signature and placing it on the PDF both happen in your browser. Neither your signature image nor your PDF is sent to a server. Signatures aren’t saved on this site, so download the image if you want to reuse it.
